The Unforgettable Trip to the Old Trafford Stadium in Manchester

On 2nd July 2011 we visited the Old Trafford Stadium in Manchester.

In this legendary stadium ManU plays every week. They are the vice-champions of the Champions League 2010/11.

When we arrived everybody was fascinated by the big stadium with its emblem on the front, a gigantic car park and a great Fan shop for all kinds of souvenirs.

The museum inside the stadium has saved all the club's memories from the first Club Cup to the Premier League Cup 2010/11.

Every player who has ever played for the "Red Devils" has his own window with his jersey and football shoes. There is a video room where you can watch the best moments of the club, e.g. the best goals, the best team, the best goalkeeper and the best goal celebration.

After a half an hour we had a tour with a guide manager whose name was Mr. Steven.

We could sit on the tribune and where we overlooked at the football pitch.

Around the football place everything was red and white because these colours are the traditional Manchester United colours and symbolize the club.

The stadium has over 70.000 seats for the people. A ticket costs from 50 pounds to 200.000 pounds, it depends on where you want to sit. For 200.000 pounds you can rent a VIP box for 20 persons for the whole season.

The next stop was the lunch room of the club players, before they go in the changing room they stay there. On the wall was a list with name of players who have ever played for the club and sat in this lunch room.

Then we went to the changing room and looked on the seats from every player with their jerseys - from the goalkeeper with the number 1 Edwin van der Sar to the the goal getter Wayne Rooney with the number 10.I felt glad to sit on the places of Luis Nani and Wayne Rooney. On the way to the field, were a lot of important rooms, like the doping room, medicine room and press room.

At the end everybody was able to feel like a football player from United, because the Mr. Steven divided the group in two. One group was ManU and the other group was the guest team. Then he started the club song that is always played before the football players go out on the pitch and give everything to win the match for the fans. So we went out to the pitch under the recorded applause and the music. The illusion of being a football star was amazing. This feeling was amazing and I will never forget this day.
